1. Who we are
This policy applies to this site and every page on this domain. We are the data controller for the limited processing described here. Contact us at any time at hello@example.com.
2. What we collect
Directly, we collect nothing. There is no registration, no login, no contact form writing to a database, and no server-side application recording what you look up. Every tool on this site runs in your browser.
Specifically, we do not:
- store the IP addresses shown to you by our tools
- keep a history of the addresses, domains or subnets you look up
- build profiles of visitors
- sell, rent or share personal data with data brokers
- collect names, email addresses or payment details, because nothing here asks for them
Some tools cache results in your browser's own sessionStorage so moving between pages
does not repeat a lookup. That data never leaves your device and is discarded when you close the tab.

3. What third parties receive
Any request your browser makes necessarily reveals your IP address to whoever receives it. That is how the internet works, and it applies to the services below. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we have no access to their records.

4. Cookies, consent and Consent Mode
We set no tracking cookies of our own. Your theme choice and your consent decision live in your
browser's localStorage and are never transmitted.
For advertising and analytics we implement Google Consent Mode v2. Before any Google tag loads, the page declares whether advertising and analytics storage are permitted, so declining is not a cleanup after the fact — the data is never collected in the first place.
- EEA, UK, Switzerland and Brazil — nothing optional runs until you actively agree (opt-in).
- United States — advertising and analytics operate on an opt-out basis consistent with the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws.
- Rest of the world — we show the notice and honour your choice.
- Global Privacy Control — if your browser sends this signal we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information, automatically and before any ad request.
Declining advertising cookies does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised and cookie-free. You can change your decision at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads, and its use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or more broadly at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
5. Legal bases (GDPR and UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on:

You may withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, via the cookie preferences link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew.
6. Your rights
Because we hold no visitor records, most requests will be answered with the accurate but unsatisfying response that there is nothing to retrieve. We will still respond to every request, free of charge, within one month.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
- Access — ask what personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure — ask us to delete data we hold
- Restriction and objection — including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable form
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Complain to your national supervisory authority
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA) or a comparable US state
- Know what categories of personal information are collected and for what purpose
- Access the specific pieces collected about you
- Delete personal information we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we collect none
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
We do not sell personal information for money. Serving personalised advertising can nevertheless count as "sharing" under the CPRA, so we provide a control in the footer of every page, and we honour Global Privacy Control automatically.
Other jurisdictions
We apply the same standard worldwide. If you are covered by Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, Australia's Privacy Act, South Africa's POPIA, India's DPDP Act or a similar law, write to us and we will handle your request under that framework.
7. International transfers
Our hosting, advertising and analytics partners operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the partner's own safeguards — typically Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We transfer nothing ourselves beyond what your browser sends directly to those services.
8. Data retention
We retain no visitor data. Server access logs held by our hosting provider are kept according to their standard policy, typically for a short period, and are used only for security and abuse investigation. Your consent record stays on your own device for up to twelve months, after which we ask again.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will act promptly.
10. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Because we store no user data, there is no visitor database that could be breached. Third-party services are responsible for the security of data they receive.
11. External links
Our guides link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the policy of any site you visit.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If we materially change what we collect, we ask for your consent again rather than relying on a decision you made about something else.
